Free BRB screen for OBS
Viewers leave a frozen frame. A BRB screen with chat and your goal on it keeps them talking until you’re back. In Layrs, start from the Be right back scene, make the words yours and paste one link into OBS. Free, in your browser, no watermark.

Make yours
Start from the template
Sign in to Layrs with Twitch or Kick, click New scene (on a new account: Start from a scene template on Home) and pick Be right back, then Use template. It comes with a big Be right back title, a break countdown, a sub goal, alerts and a live chat panel.
Make the words yours
Double-click the title or the line under the countdown on the canvas to type your own.
Set the goal and the break
Open Controls on the right. Set the Target under Sub goal, and the Minutes under Break timer (5 to start with), which shows Back in and the time left. The goal counts sub points (a Tier 2 sub counts 2, a Tier 3 sub 6, like Twitch) from the last Reset session, also in Controls.
Add it to OBS
Copy the link
In Layrs, click Add to OBS at the top and copy the URL.
Make a scene in OBS
Click + under Scenes and call it BRB.
Add the Browser source
In that scene, click + under Sources and pick Browser. Paste the link into URL, set Width and Height to 1920 and 1080, then OK.
Switch to it fast
Give the BRB scene a key in OBS: open Settings, then Hotkeys, find your BRB scene and set a key for Switch to scene (OBS’s own labels). One press and you’re on the break screen (in Studio Mode it goes to the preview first).
Then press Start countdown in Controls in Layrs, so chat sees when you’re back. At zero it says Back any second. A Moderator on your Layrs team can press it for you: in their Live mode, open Controls at the bottom of the right panel.
On an IRL stream, let your relay switch to it when the signal drops: the IRL BRB scene guide.
When you’re done: a Stream ending screen
The Stream ending scene thanks viewers and shows your top gifters and top cheerers, with chat and alerts. Add it the same way: one more OBS scene, one more link. Its lists count from the last Reset session in that scene’s Controls, so press it before you go live.

FAQ
How do I switch to my BRB screen quickly?
Set a hotkey for the BRB scene in OBS: Settings, then Hotkeys, then Switch to scene.
Can it switch by itself when my IRL signal drops?
Your relay or OBS does that, not Layrs. The IRL BRB scene guide shows how.
What size is a BRB screen?
A Layrs scene is 1920 × 1080. Give the Browser source the same size.
Do test alerts count toward the goal?
No. Tests only play.
Is it free?
Yes, with no watermark. You sign in to Layrs with Twitch or Kick.
